P0092: Fuel pressure regulator control circuit high
The ECU sees a voltage that is too high in the fuel pressure regulator circuit. Usually a broken wire or a connector that has come loose.

What P0092 means
The ECU monitors the voltage in the circuit that drives the fuel pressure regulator. If it sees it above what is possible, it stores this code. The usual cause is an open circuit (broken wire or unplugged connector) or a wire touching a live feed.
Most common causes
- Regulator connector unplugged or with loose pins
- Broken regulator wire
- Chafed wire touching another live wire
- Regulator coil open internally
- Rarely, the ECU
Symptoms
- Engine warning light on
- Loss of power or limp mode
- Hard starting or stalling
- Unstable idle

With care You can drive gently, but the engine may lose power or stall. Get it to a garage soon.
How to check it
With the engine off, check that the regulator connector is fully plugged in; it is often left loose after other work. If the code returns after clearing, the garage can test the wire for continuity.
