P0776: Pressure control solenoid B: performance problem or stuck off
The automatic gearbox finds that pressure control solenoid B is not regulating as it should. Dirty or low fluid and the solenoid itself are typical.

What P0776 means
Pressure control solenoids set how firmly the gearbox clutches clamp during a shift. If solenoid B does not respond, shifts can become harsh or slip. Which part of the gearbox solenoid B regulates is defined by each manufacturer.
Most common causes
- Low transmission fluid level or degraded fluid
- Blocked transmission filter
- Damaged or corroded solenoid connector or wiring
- Pressure control solenoid B sticking or failed
- Worn valve body
Symptoms
- Engine or gearbox warning light on

- Gearbox feels like it slips during shifts
- Limp mode with only a few gears available
