P0441: EVAP system incorrect purge flow
Vapour from the canister is not reaching the engine as the ECU expects. Usually a stuck purge valve or a loose or blocked vapour hose.

What P0441 means
The purge valve opens the path between the canister and the intake so the engine can burn the petrol vapour. The ECU opens it and expects a change in mixture or pressure. If it sees no change, or sees one with the valve closed, it stores this code.
Most common causes
- Loose, split or blocked hose between canister and intake
- Purge valve stuck open or closed
- Loose or corroded purge valve connector
- Canister blocked by charcoal debris
- Faulty fuel tank pressure sensor
Symptoms
- Engine warning light on
- Slightly hard starting just after refuelling
- Rough idle if the valve is stuck open
- Often no symptoms

How to check it
Disconnect the hose from the purge valve to the intake: if you feel suction with the engine cold at idle, the valve is stuck open. If your reader shows it, check the commanded purge percentage.
